Introducing our New Pollinator Garden, the Honey Bee Habitat

Hey  y’all! We just wanted to take a minute and introduce our newest Grow Garden to the (potting) mix–the Honey Bee Habitat! We’ve been wanting to create a pollinator garden for our line, and since bees are one of the most important pollinators out there, we decided to make a garden just for them. Did you know that about 80% of the pollination of fruits, vegetables, and seed crops in the U.S is accomplished by honey bees? Much of the food we eat is made possible by bees. And since our little honey bee friends have been disappearing over the years, we figured by growing this bee kit we can contribute a little something to the environment by keeping them...

Black Swallowtail Butterflies and Fennel...

If you want to attract Black Swallowtail Butterflies to your garden, just plant a little fennel (or dill) ~ I scattered a few seeds in my wild butterfly garden along with the Zinnias and Cosmos and now I have tons of little baby caterpillars munching away! When they become butterflies, they will sip the nectar from the flowers and lay their eggs on the fennel to start the life cycle all over again... Happy gardening! ~ Sherri
